Description

The Trexo walking device is a wearable exoskeleton that can guide a child's legs forward using motors at the hips and knees.  A pilot project with the University of Calgary and Calgary schools, Angela Gosselin's family is one of the first to test it. Her daughter Isabella (Izzy) Sheldon has Rett syndrome, a neurological disorder that inhibits the use of her motor skills and means she is non-verbal. Angela joins Sarah Crosbie to talk about how this device creates physical mobility, independence and happiness. "Makes sense to your soul and to your heart."
